Congratulations to the Division two women’s team who for the second year in succession have made it to the WNBL D2 Final in Manchester.
Today’s opponents were Manchester Mystics II in the semi finals. The Hatters II team proved too strong for Manchester running away in the first quarter with a 23-6 lead. In the second quarter, the visitors managed to hold the Hatters to 8 with a score of 42-17 at the half way point.
However, by the final score the Hatters had once again pulled away to finish with a 84-38 win. Sarah Cooney was once again top scorer with 19 points with Lisa Riches on 17 and Steph Gandy on 12.
They now play the finals on 22 April 2022 against City Of Birmingham Rockets at 3:30pm in Manchester.
