A good win for the u16 Conference team on Saturday as they won 59-47 away to Mersey Mavericks. During the 6th minute of the 3rd quarter, there was a small inconvenience when the game was put on hold for 50 minutes but we persevered and ended with a beautiful win.
In the first quarter, Hatter’s led the lead with 13 points. With Faith Greayves, no.6 scoring most of the points.
In the second quarter, we still had the lead with 28 points, however Mersey were close behind with a difference of 1 point. Georgia Tayler no.8 scoring two 3 pointers.
During the 3rd quarter the first few minutes Mersey were in front with a difference of one point, but we soon regained the momentum, once again, taking the lead to our end of quarter score 33-42. As Talitha Crane, no.4, scored 6 points.
After a long match, the last quarter was finally over, with the overall score being 59-47, with Yeukai Azumah, no.10, scoring 10 points.
