Hatters U14 conference first home game of the season. Hatters v Liverpool.
Hatters started with their usual fierce defence holding up well against a fast and physical team. But at the end of the first quarter Liverpool pushed in front, leading 11-8.
After an inspirational talk from the coaches the Hatters were ready to pull it back. Starting the second quarter with strong defence and making the right decisions when playing offence.
Hatters denied Liverpool any more easy baskets and racked up plenty of points.
Hatters hard work paid off because as half time came Hatters were leading
26-16. A 10 point lead.
The third quarter started much like the second. Good ball movement and picking out good passes. Hatters kept their lead, meaning the score at the end of the third quarter was 36-27. This seemed to snap Liverpool into action.
The final quarter Liverpool started strong and fast, battling for a victory all the way until the end. Almost drawing with Hatters during the quarter.
The final score came to 44-40 to Hatters, with U14 conference Hatters team showing great resilience, team spirit and hard work to bring the win home.
Harmony received the “Hustler” of the match award .
