U14 Sheffield Hatters II vs Hartlepool Huskies
Saturday 4 November 2023
This week’s match report comes from one our junior members Harmony. Thank you!
On Saturday 4th of November Hatters played the Huskies in what was a good game, but sadly we
lost.
As team captain I thought we could improve on:
● Layups – By shooting the ball gently on the backboard; Not rushing or
panicking to do the layups
● Communication as a team
● Being aware of where our team mates were.
● Rebounds – By not staring at the ball and waiting for it to come to us. We
needed to jump for the ball and grab it.
● Fouls – We fouled a lot and we need to make sure our hands are up and
not leaning over the other players when defending.
● Passing – We need to make sure we are passing to our team mates when it
is clear to pass. We gave the ball over to the other team a lot.
Things I think we did well:
● In the second half, we talked more as a team
● We hustled well for the ball and speaking of hustles – WELL DONE BELLA!
for getting “Hustler of the Match!”
● We worked really hard to catch up with the other teams score
● We got a lot of free throws by driving for the basketball
● We were behind with our score but, we kept on playing and pushing as a
team
The total match score was 62-77!! Well done girls! We didn’t win BUT we kept on
playing. Let’s go HATTERS!
