In a thrilling showdown on Hatter’s home court, Sheffield Hatters faced off against the visiting
Derby Trail Blazers, and it was a spectacle to behold.

flowing, followed by a big three from 16-year old Carabana.
Jess Southwell’s defensive intent was infectious. She hounded the opposing point guard for the
entire first half of the game, demonstrating elite defensive skills. Sarah Cooney’s anticipation off
the ball created further problem’s for Derby’s offence.
Despite Sheffield’s disruptive defence, the Trail Blazers refused to back down, displaying
unwavering energy throughout the game.
The third quarter belonged to Sheffield, as they exploded with 31 points, overpowering Derby’s 12.
Helen Naylor added another 16 points in this quarter, and Sarah Cooney chipped in with an
additional 9.
