Congratulations to the U14P team who put on an incredible unbeaten league season that saw them make the Final Fours this weekend and become the third best team in the country.
First up was the semi final in a hotly contested match against Manchester Mystics on Saturday 29 April. Unfortunately, the team came up short and lost to the Mystics by 87 – 58 despite a strong start.
This meant that they faced a third place playoff against Milton Keynes Breakers the following day. The team got off to an outstanding start going into a quick 14- 0 lead before the Breakers finally got on the score board with a 3 pointer. By the half way point, the Hatters had a 39 – 20 lead.
The breakers were unable to live with the Hatters girls from there on and the U14 team eventually came away with a 70 – 49 win taking the Bronze medal in the process.
